| My Tupperware Cowboy
He came a walkin' up to me with his bowed legs and arms astride
I said wait a second cowboy, this cowgirl's got a ride
He looked at me and smiled then I knew it was all over
I'd fallen for the cowboy with the hat of light blue tupperware.
It's big and blue and hard and smooth
It has a plastic middle
You can see thru the sides and down the top
It cost a pretty nickel
He got it at the five and dime when he was just a boy
And still admits of all his things this is his pride and joy.
I said wait a minute cowboy - where'd you get that hat
I've been thru the state of Texas & never SEEN one like that
He twitched his lip, spit to the side, then tipped his hat at me
I saw a faded, sweaty tag with a picture of Howdy Doody.
It's big and blue and hard and smooth
It has a plastic middle
You can see thru the sides and down the top
It cost a pretty nickel
He got it at the five and dime when he was just a boy
And still admits of all his things this is his pride and joy.
I walk down the street, sheltered and dry proud to hold his arm
We get compliments and stares and laughs everywhere we turn
He's my man in blue, the plastic stud, the one who has my heart
But if I ever get the chance I'll take and rip that hat apart.
It's big and blue and hard and smooth
It has a plastic middle
You can see thru the sides and down the top
It cost a pretty nickel
He got it at the five and dime when he was just a boy
And still admits of all his things this is his pride and joy.
It's big and blue and hard and smooth
It has a plastic middle
You can see thru the sides and down the top
It cost a pretty nickel
He got it at the five and dime when he was just a boy
He's my man in blue, the plastic stud, my tupperware cowboy.
