Robbing the riverbank

Swallowed my pride with a mouthful of air
Moving with a wave and a cold blank stare
This scene is a desert with water as sky
Ask me if I care, I'll probably lie

I swam through a cloud of angel fish
One of them whispered, c'mon baby gimme a kiss
All my life I had one dream and half a wish
To know if the spoon was happy with the dish

Chorus
Coming up for air I inhaled a thought
You wish for things that can't be bought
All the lessons learned are always self taught
Robbing the riverbank ,you'll never get caught

You always know when you've been used
No scars or tears but you feel bruised
Howling like a wolf from a windowless room
Knowing cows never could jump over the moon

Depth a pleasure its all here
When people drown do fish shed a tear?
Drinking all you want on a sandbar
No need to dress up just come as you are
Drinking 'til you drown..da da da da

Chorus~

Judges Comments:

These are just really good lyrics; the clever line structure, the play on words and the juxtaposition of ideas - drowning used in conjunction with children's nursery rhymes. I enjoy this unique writing style and hope to see more from Virginya.

That's the way to do it Virginya,  please send us  more.
